Some people come into our lives
And leave footprints on our hearts
And we are never, ever the same.
Flavia
Litany of Remembrance~
In the rising of the sun and in its going down, we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter, we remember them.
In the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring, we remember them.
In the blueness of the sky and in the warmth of summer, we remember them.
In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn, we remember them.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends, we remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, we remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share, we remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live, for they are a part of us, as we remember them.
This year's speaker was Wendy Colling and she spoke about the loss of her five month old daughter to a chromosomal defect.
Little Snowdrop
The world may never notice if a snowdrop doesn't bloom
Or even pause to wonder if the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms and comes to be
touches the world in some small way for all eternity.
The one we long for was swiftly here and gone
but the love that was then planted
is a light that still shines on.
And though our arms are empty
Our hearts know what to do
Every beating of our hearts says that we love you.
Mady and I left messages for Abby on the remembrance tree.
~I will post pictures tomorrow of the butterfly release.~
